Editorial Review:
Description: Get ready to cheer, sports fans, as Mickey and his friends team up to bring you the funniest and most entertaining sports moments in animated film! The laughs fly out of the park when Goofy attempts to demonstrate 'How To Play Baseball' in the hit classic short that features everyone's favorite dog playing every position. Then Mickey heads out for a leisurely day on the links, but hilarity is par for the course when his faithful 'Canine Caddy' Pluto battles a pesky gopher and does his best to clear the way for a hole in one. The fun never stops in this collection of eight wild and wacky sports stories the whole family will love. Over an hour of extreme fun includes: 'Canine Caddy'; 'How To Play Baseball'; 'The Hockey Champ'; 'Double Dribble'; 'How To Play Football'; 'Mickey’s Polo Team'; 'Tennis Racquet'; and 'Goofy Gymnastics.'

Rating: - The Best
One of the best of Goofy. When I was young (1988 approx.), my sibling and I used to watch it at least one in a week and we were laughing every time.
Few years ago, I found it in a video store (like Blockbuster) and I rent it and enjoyed like in the 80's.
I strongly recommend it for yourself or for your children. You're gonna love it!!!
Rating: - Classic Cartoon Fun
We bought this for our son because it contained the short "How to Play Football", which is one of my all-time favorites. As with most of the 'toons of that day, much of the verbal humor is subtle and goes right past the kids. My wife and I are laughing at the sarcasm, the kids are laughing at the visuals and we all have a good time.
Rating: - Missed opportunity for Soccermania. All just re-releases.
Boo to Disney. This is a missed oppertunity to give us what the rest of the world got: Soccarmania and its related cartoons. Instead we just get a very short re-hash of cartoons already on DVD:
"CANINE CADDY" (1941) - already on "The Complete Pluto volume 1";
"HOW TO PLAY BASEBALL" (1942) - already on "The Complete Goofy";
"THE HOCKEY CHAMP" (1939) - already on "The Chronological Donald volume 1";
"DOUBLE DRIBBLE" (1946) - already on "The Complete ... Read More
Rating: - Where's soccormania?
This dvd was released everywhere in the world with the rare tv special "sports goofy in soccormania".
A 30 min special. It was removed from the american release.
Why they did this is unknown.
The dvd lost 30 min and we lost a rare cartoon the rest of the world gets but not america!
Thanks alot disney.
Rating: - Great entertainment
Pure Disney fun. You can't go wrong on this one. If you like Disney characters and cartoons, you'll have a blast...It takes you back thirty years when you used to watch these short subjects on the Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights.
