An iconic variety show that ran from 1976 to 1981, The Muppet Show was a masterpiece of puppetry and slapstick humor as well as a showcase for the best musical and comic talent of its day. Season three ran 1978-1979 and featured 26 famous guest stars, including Roy Clark, Pearl Bailey, Jean Stapleton, Harry Belefonte, Danny Kaye, Cheryl Ladd, Raquel Welch, Roy Rogers, Dale Evans, and Sylvester Stallone. No one gets bored by these shows, ever.
So glad all the seasons are being published again.
We are having a BALL by watching it, time and time ... and time again.

I used to watch them back in the 70s and 80s. never forgot kermit or Miss Piggy.. very nice stories with very interesting guests. music, show, and funny stories.

One question though: I noticed that one or two of the skits are repeated in two of the episodes (on Disc 1 anyway) Rowlf and Fozzie singing "An Actor's Life for Me" and the Chickens playing the chimes. Maybe one of the episodes was a UK release?

There's not much to complain about when you're talking about the muppets. I've purchased all three seasons for my girlfriend, and she's pleased as punch! Season 2 and 3 even had the "fuzzy" velvet covers.
Rating: - still fun after all these years
My husband is a big Muppets fan, and when he found out Season Three was out on DVD, he didn't even ask.. he just ordered it. sure, some of the guests stars we are like: Huh? whozzat? but all in all, it's a great romp overall.
