Editorial Review:
Description: 'John Lennon / Plastic Ono Band' was John Lennon's first solo studio album after the break up of The Beatles. Both John & Yoko had been undergoing primal scream therapy in the lead up to the recording of the album and both this and Yoko Ono's companion album ('Yoko Ono / Plastic Ono Band') were deeply influenced by their therapy. This latest addition to Eagle's acclaimed Classic Albums series explores the creation of this groundbreaking album through new interviews, archive footage and detailed analysis of the original multi-track masters. Interviewees include Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono and bass player Klaus Voorman.
TRACK LISTING: Features excerpts from: Mother - Hold On - Isolation - I Found Out - Love - God - Working Class Hero - and more...

Rating: - Just listen to John's voice
One of the greatest works made by John. Simple, direct, honest.
Listening to John's naked voice from outtakes of this disc is delightful. It is impossible not to feel his talent and humanity.
Very interesting comments from engineers and from Yoko, but very few 'new material' for die-hard fans.
John Lennon was a genious and a wonderful human being.

Excellent in all ways, with extra material this DVD truely enhances ,
the original version.
Rating: - Best Lennon documentary yet

Mintz is so amazingly cheesey and lame when he says this, and he looks so un ... Read More

Just Wanna say I Love This Film, I had it saved on my DVR, but then realized this was to great a show, I want the whole thing plus the bonus's. Awesome!
VH1 - Classic Albums Version doesn't have at least 30min of the Original.
Rating: - A must buy
Huge Lennon fan here who has seen it all. This period in particular is well documented through visual and audio recordings in John's own words. But I thoroughly enjoyed this presentation. And to see the original session tapes and hear John's vocal up in the mix or at times naked by itself created chills up my spine. Get this now! Peace...
