As of all the Andy Hardy movies, Mickey Rooney and an all star cast including the wonderful Judy Garland. You will definately enjoy this movie.

I have ordered a lot of the older movies and I was especially glad to find this particular film because my husband and I both grew up with Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland movies. It was a movie that was in good condition and was just as enjoyable as we thought it would be. We will order more of these type of movies and probably more from the same person we ordered this one from.

...and boy, does Andy know it! All ready for the big Christmas dance that's coming up, he learns his steady girlfriend Polly (Ann Rutherford) has to go out of town and won't be able to go with him to the dance. So, he makes a date with "the awful redhead," the feisty Cynthia (Lana Turner). Things seem to be going well...until, that is, he receives a letter from Polly saying she's coming back in time to go with him to the Christmas dance. What's Andy going to do now that he has two dates?
In the meantime, Betsy Booth (Judy Garland in her first of three Andy Hardy appearance) comes to Carvel to live with her Grandma (Andy's next door neighbor) for awhile. She's extremely anxious to meet Andy because her Grandmother's told her so much about him. Unfortunately, Andy's not as anxious to meet her. They become friends, but Andy thinks of her as "a kid" and not at the same level that he is. (You have to watch her sing "In Between." )
But when both of his dates get mad at him, she comes to the rescue and they go to the dance together. And when she sings "Meet the Beat of My Heart" he realizes just how terrific she really is!
